I am using Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 and I am trying to export video files in the MXF OP1a wrapper with the JPEG2000 codec. While both are supposedly supported by Adobe CS6, I am not able to apply the JPEG2000 codec to the MXF OP1a wrapper. The JPEG2000 codec is only available with the Quicktime wrapper. This is also true for Adobe Media Encoder CS6. I am experiencing a second problem, which is that the “Export video” radio button is greyed out in Premiere Pro, leaving only the “export audio” option, which is not helpful. If someone can tell me why I can’t achieve this codec-wrapper combination, I would greatly appreciate it. As some of you know, this is the codec and wrapper used by the Library of Congress to encode SD video. If anyone knows what software program they use to accomplish this, I would also appreciate it.
