Re: How can I uninstall CC2014 safely?

Before I uninstall them, may I also know if there is a way to use CS6 as the primary suit while retaining CC2014 - without any problem?  I ask this because - while I can use Illustrator this way by simply selecting the CS6 version as the “default program” - the same trick doesn't seem to work with Photoshop (no matter that you select the Photoshop CS6 version in the same way, its CC2014 version is automatically selected as the default program). In either case, having faced immense inconvenience due to this coercive update, I want to go with a less risky step.
