So, for me to find the nVidia Quadro K5000 as compatible for the Premiere Pro CC program, I followed nVidia's links and then bought it. Then after installing it and the driver not working, I tried to find the proper driver on the nVidia web-site. I have done that before and then chose 'Partner Certified' drivers and selected Adobe from the list. So, this time, after selecting Adobe certified drivers, it kicked me into a K6000 and only gave me Windows 7 32 bit drivers. Yes, forgot to say I am using Windows 7, 64 bit.
Someone might say ask nVidia, which I did. I specifically ask for the driver for Windows 7 64 bit for Premiere Pro CC 2014 and I was given a link to their latest Beta driver for Windows 7, 64 bit - no mention of Adobe or Premiere Pro.
So, tomorrow I will probably try this latest beta driver and hope that Premiere Pro CC 2014 will recognize the graphics accelleration and give me the option to choose to use the Quadro K5000 video card. At the moment Premiere Pro does not recognize the quadro and has the selection 'greyed out' that alklows me to use it.
I wonder what drivers others are using for Windows 7, 64 bit and the quadro K5000.
I wonder why nVidia gives links for these quadro video cards being compatible for Adobe products, but has searching for drivers very confusing when none are listed for the parameters I have.
