Hey, Amanda,
Thanks for the screenshots and thanks for your patience in trying to resolve the problem. I haven't seen Edge Code hang so early in the startup sequence such that the menus aren't even yet populated or enabled. Also, previous reports of the "white screen" on startup are usually corrected by just deleting the 'Edge Code CC' folder.
I know you mentioned above that you've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but perhaps you could do so one more time, now that Edge Code Preview 8 has been released. Consequently, can you please try the following steps on your machine to clean and then install the latest Edge Code?
- using Finder, go to your Applications folder, rt-click 'Adobe Edge Code CC.app', and click 'Move to Trash'.
- using Finder, go to '~/Library/Application Support/Adobe' and double-check whether you see an 'Edge Code CC' folder. If you do, delete it.
- from the Finder menu, click Finder > Empty Trash... and completely empty your Trash
- restart your system.
- after your system restarts, click the Creative Cloud icon from the OSX status bar to display the Creative Cloud window.
- click on the Apps tab, find 'Edge Code CC'. Click Install.
After it installs, try launching Edge Code from your Applications folder, and see if it works this time. Please reply to this thread and let me know what you see.
